Deskripsi

Waste4Change (W4C) is a startup or company which was originally formed by PT Wasteforchange Alam Indonesia. The goals of this startup is to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill. So far, while using their current website design, W4C feels that many users find it difficult in using the website. This is shown by the number of users who are still asking about how to use the web, especially when the users want to send their waste. W4C thinks that the things confuse users are API integration issues, copywriting that causes miscommunication, and confusing user-flows. We implemented Design Thinking framework to help us in making solutions in this case. We chose Design Thinking because, in our opinion, this framework is easy to use by beginner. We also think that Design Thinking has really good flexibility, such as it can be done in short or long period of time. We can also customize the details of each steps depends on the conditions we face while doing this framework. The last stage of the design thinking process is Testing. I do recommend to do testing with at least 5 people or testers. But, again, because of the limited time, we only tested the prototype to 3 tester which fits our target market. The design we came up with got a score of 6.25 out of 7 on SEQ. That high score shows that the UI and UX design is quite easy to use and understand, and we didn’t see the user had a major problem understanding the design. Moving on to the usability score, we got a score 4.375 out of 5. The score indicates that the feature being tried by the user is useful. However, we don’t feel like we have accomplished all the goals/objectives of this design process. Because the task-flows created in this first iteration is very basic task-flows. So, it’s only natural that users say the given task-flows are useful. We did learn a lot of things, especially in design thinking. we used to “know” about that, but never ever implemented it in a real project like this. We also learn how to understand project brief, how to do a good presentation or pitching, and so on. We know that what we’ve done in this project wasn’t perfect at all. And I think it’s only natural when we do something for the first time. Mistakes made us realize that a lot of things, in this project, should be improved;
