Send Your Waste is a service designed for environmentally conscious users that allows sending non-organic, recycled waste voluntarily, easily and hassle-free. To be recycled by Waste4Change responsibly. Users can send their waste through the regular or sponsored Send Your Waste (SYW) program. The sponsored program is a collaborative program with related brands, and each deposited waste can be redeemed for various gift products. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the results of my first UX case study. In particular, I learned how important it is to consider the user at every stage of the design process. I underestimated the amount of time it took to complete the project, so next time I’ll have to set a realistic deadline. I would also like to do more usability testing to see where further enhancements can be made. I have so much fun interacting with and understanding the users. While designing the Send Your Waste app, I learned that the first idea for this app was just the beginning of the process. Usability studies influence each iteration of app design.
